AIESEC is a global network of young leaders under the age of 30, collectively striving to better ourselves and the communities around us. We are passionate about world issues, leadership development, cultural understanding and experiential learning.
The organization spans +112 countries and territories in total. In all of those every aspect of AIESEC’s operations are managed by students and recent graduates.
We have operated in this way since our inception, making us uniquely “by young people, for young people”, for over 65 years. The global leadership teams are elected by the membership annually.
AIESEC was founded in 1948 by 7 the founding countries. One of the founding entities was located in Rotterdam. Nowadays AIESEC represents a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential. We are a non-partisan, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Its members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion or national/social origin.

We help to find a volunteer project or internship that is best suited for you. Throughout that process we will guide you in applying for a VISA, finding accommodation, and preparing for cultural differences among others. Even after your departure, we will remain in contact to make sure everything in the host country goes as planned.
AIESEC is more than an exchange organization! We offer youth the opportunity to develop themselves through practical and challenging experiences of either volunteering or internships abroad.
Our volunteering projects are a collaboration with the United Nations to reach the Sustainable Development Goals. What is your cause? Pick a project, one of our partners in all continents, a date, and live the experience of your life!
