Who we are
By young people, for young people
The organisation spans 112+ countries and territories. In all of those, every aspect of AIESEC’s operations is managed by students and recent graduates.
Founded in 1948
AIESEC was founded in 1948 by seven founding countries. One of the founding entities was located in Rotterdam.
Leadership potential
Nowadays AIESEC represents a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential. We are a non-partisan, independent, not-for-profit organisation run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education.
More than 1,000,000 young people
Since we were founded, we have engaged and developed over 1,000,000 young people through an AIESEC experience. The impact of our organisation can be seen through our alumni who represent business, NGO and world leaders, including Nobel Peace Prize laureate Martti Ahtisaari of Finland.

Supporting your international experience
We help to find a volunteer project or internship that is best suited for you. Throughout that process we will guide you in applying for a VISA, finding accommodation, and preparing for cultural differences among others. Even after your departure, we will remain in contact to make sure everything in the host country goes as planned.
