VAROPreem is a leading European energy company built on scale, capability and a proven track record of delivery. Created through the combination of VARO Energy and Preem and headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, the company serves business customers across Europe.
VAROPreem operates an integrated value chain — from sourcing and manufacturing to storage, distribution, marketing, and trading — combining conventional and sustainable energies.
As Europe’s third-largest independent refiner, we own and operate critical infrastructure, playing a key role in strengthening energy security and enabling the energy transition. Our integrated supply network is among the largest in Europe, meeting nearly 10% of road and marine fuel demand and supporting mobility, trade, and industrial activity every day.
At the same time, we are enabling our customers to shift to lower-carbon energy. VAROPreem is Europe’s second-largest producer of renewable fuels and the 6th largest in the world, with 1.3 million tonnes per year of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) capacity, scaling solutions that deliver real emissions reductions today.
