We are looking for an API partnerships lead who will play a key role in promoting the reuse of cultural heritage data through Europeana’s products and services.
Key Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an API partnerships lead who will play a key role in promoting the reuse of cultural heritage data through Europeana’s products and services, particularly its APIs, to a diverse range of audience groups, including those in research, education, media, tourism and AI. This position is central to strengthening Europeana’s ecosystem of data reuse by building strategic partnerships, engaging with API and AI developer communities, and supporting customers in maximising the value of our API offerings.
As API partnerships lead, you will lead the development of B2B and B2C partnerships that demonstrate the value of open cultural heritage data. You will coordinate an outreach programme aimed at increasing awareness, understanding, and uptake of the Europeana APIs across diverse user groups.
You will work closely with internal teams, including the Audience Engagement team, the Platform and Services team and the Service Experience, to ensure seamless collaboration, user satisfaction, and product improvement. You will also contribute to API documentation, training materials, and promotional campaigns to foster a vibrant API user community.

With staff based in five countries, our international team operates in a hybrid working culture. Our team based in the Netherlands has the flexibility to come to work at our office or to work remotely. Our main office is based in the National Library of the Netherlands, next to The Hague Central Station. Our teams based abroad work fully remotely and participate occasionally in meetings and events in The Hague office.
